About Us
A good event needs great people, and a fantastic event needs an exceptional team.
We have all worked together since our formation in June of 2009 and the committee has supported and worked together to produce the successful end result you have all witnessed.
Meet the main organisers and see their roles here:
Peter Buchanan
Peter was the glue of the project, ensuring every detail was considered, and oversaw the running of the whole event from start to finish.
Geoff Smith
Geoff's role was to supervise the arrival and set up of the attractions and manage the car parking.
Kat Bowhay
Kat is a capable local event organiser with a number of roles, including reaching out to local bands and encouraging them to play at the event.
Jeff Sluggett
Jeff was Peter's right-hand man, helping with the design of posters and the layout of the field. He also ran the Theater Group's dress-up stall and games.
Sue Langdon
As a member of the Art Group herself, Sue is the perfect person to help organise them. She's also a dab hand at selling raffle tickets!
Chris Fiddes
With years of experience, and a passion for organising runs, who better to launch our event with a fun run for all ages? Chris is also a valuable link with the British Legion.
Myra Hayward
Myra and her team from the WI oversee the kitchen from early morning until the very end, preparing tasty treats and teas!
Phillida Russell
Phillida plays a crucial role as the quiz writer, and table top sales provide us with the extra funding that we can use on attractions.
Gail Snook
After two years, Gail has moved on from Timsbury and left the committee, but was a crucial part in making the event such a huge success.
Veronica Packham
Having a link with the council has been most useful with getting support for the day and understanding rules and regulations.
Stacey Pottinger
Stacey will be taking on the fundraising role this year.
